Rory Dodd was sort of generic, a very Eagles type. You don't hear any feeling from him, really, you hear a guy singing a song. Now, Meat when he had a voice, there were times in concert (mainly in the Eighties and Nineties) that he would ad-lib a bit that dragged, but thirty years ago he had a brilliant Irish tenor and an actor's commitment to the art.
