Back from a 26 hour drive (13 each way) got to see the World Premier of the new Emmet Otter musical! Amazing show. Got to meet Paul Williams. He was very nice. I asked about Phantom of the Paradise and he said he is working on it and is in talks with Henson about producing it. He is also working on another musical based on a novel. I forget the whole title of the novel but it started with Bangkok. Also go to meet Jerry Nelson, the original Emmet Otter as well as The Count from Sesame Street (would have been a better Count Krolock than Mikey Boy) and a million other Muppets. Poor man is very ill (cancer I believe) and not was not well, but took the time to say hello and shake hands and sign autographs. Also talked with Brian and Cheryl Henson... two of Jim Henson's children (Brian also does many muppets and was Hoggle in Labyrinth). All in all a wonderful trip and the show was amazing!
