Please get your facts right: Youtube just got Arnel Pineda the chance to audition to become Journeys new singer, as the band could hear that he may sound like the Steve Perry soundalike they were looking for after firing Jeff Scott Soto. After Pineda got the job, they recorded one of his first gigs to become the bonus DVD on the forthcoming album you mentioned. Youtube videos of this gig spread all over the internet and most fans reacted very negative, although everything sounded fine when it was officialy released later on. You may question overdubbing, but I have seen Journey since and the guy really sounds good. It probably just was youtube-quality that made him sound bad. But I am sure someone who has never been there will let me know I am wrong. | |
