I think it's fun, as long as we realize it's just that: fun. It would never happen, and even if it did, it probably wouldn't be very good. I've listened to an album called "Two Rooms," which is a bunch of big-name artists paying tribute to Elton John. It's certainly interesting, but none of them stand out and it's not really that enjoyable.
