Initially it was me, which is why I was cut out of the loop. His other iceberg seems to be that while he apparently has a bunch of weight and prestige in the industry, I never saw a single thing produced while with his unit. Before everyone cries "You were bullshitted by a bullshitter!" this guy DOES have legit credits that are on record, so I don't know what the deal is.
The one thing I do know is that he wouldn't be able to propose this new translation to Jim at all without having worked with him or people around him before, which he has (since the late Eighties - read Barry Keating's bio for STARMITES, link below). The question is whether or not anything will be done about it, and my guess, based on his (and my) interactions with Jim's people, is that nothing will come of it, simply because of the way things are handled in that group, both historically and of late.
