The point that you and your friend here seem to have missed is that no-one gives a toss about there being a new translation of TdV. I'd have thought that a translation was one of the last pieces of the jigsaw needed to put on a show. It is, more or less, a mechanical thing that you could give to any lyricist who understands German enough. There's a shitload of more important stuff to get done, starting with the rights to the show. Since wacko doesn't seem to have noticed that Jim doesn't own the rights, I don't rate his chances of getting much further, even if his mathemetical abilities are better than it was when he couldn't add up to 6 million.
The whole thing is not news. "News" is something like "Tanz will be on in Vienna in November". That's the kind of stuff to get excited about. The real fans here see such news and start planning their trip to the show and start buying tickets. Folk like you and wacko don't do such things. Instead you just whack off on something that 99% ain't gonna happen.
Sorry for being a realist and all that, but if I can't buy tickets for something, and I'm not likely to be able to buy tickets for it, then I'm not going to get excited.
