Of course people are more likely to put money into something if ALW is involved. One of the benefits of investing in Cats was that investors were guaranteed that they would be allowed to put money into future ALW productions. People fight to invest in ALW. This does not mean that they won't invest in Jim. It's not going to be as easy as an ALW production but that's life. Recently Gone With The Wind opened and closed despite the fact that Trevor Nunn directed it. The songs were awful and by an unknown person (but they still raised the money). The same thing happened to The Lord Of The Rings. Again, not a single good song. And it closed. The songs from Bat 1 and Bat 2 are brilliant. At least Jim's show will have great songs. And most of the songs are very famous. You say that Jim has been inactive since WDTW. When Tommy was a hit on Broadway, what had Pete Townsend been up to in the years leading up to it? Instead of thinking about who might invest (and they have been doing things that cost money - so someone has invested some money), what about asking who would buy a ticket? If the creative team do their jobs, I think a lot of people will want to see the show. Unfortunately Jim has now erased the part of his blog where he talks about the cool plans he has for special effects and other ideas for entertaining the audience. But there will be enough to satisfy the Meat Loaf fans, even though Meat isn't in it. It will be far more entertaining than a Meat Loaf show. Already Mark Brickman, the lighting genius who does Pink Floyd, is working to make sure that happens. Remember that Pink Floyd worked without Waters even though everybody said his departure would mean the death of Floyd. Because the show was so good. And Jim's show can work without Meat. Of course there is always the possibility of failure but it's worth taking a chance. > I think that the reality now is that Jim may very well be > concentrating on the BAT musical, but I doubt it will ever > really amount to anything.
