I read an article about Steve Steinman which said that Jim doesn't get any royalties from Steve's shows. It has something to do with Jim selling part of the rights to his songs a long time ago. In order for him to get royalties now, the Steve Steinman shows would have to directly exploit Jim's name to sell the show or the performance would have to be a costumed drama. Bat Out Of Hell The Musical will be called Jim Steinman's Bat Out Of Hell and it will be a costumed drama. Therefore they have to pay Jim. Steve Steinman is obviously exploiting Jim's name by changing his name to Steinman and using Jim's songs but he is very careful about how he goes about his business. This show that you have found is not one I have heard of before. Thanks for finding it. Steve Steinman really seems to be coming close to crossing a line this time. I think you were right in your first post on the subject. There should be a law against it. > I know, I was kidding about that part.
