What nobody has mentioned on this website is that Bat out of Hell Musical should make economical sense for the people behind it. 1. Meat Loaf is at the very end of his singing career and people still want to see a professional show with his music in it - hence the musical. 2. Bat out of Hell is in the top ten albums of all time which means a proven audience and aging - hence a musical will be up their street. 3. People like Steve Steinman - a copy cat act can make a full time living doing Meat Loaf stuff so there is a proven audience out there for it and already warmed up. 4. Albums sales are falling off so investing in a live event is potentially a better source of income for record companies like Sony. 5. The music is very strong so even if the storyline is average it should get an audience. Compare to other musicals it seems a far more attractive proposition so I don't see why it should not be a success. The only concern is if Jim over engineering it - cost wise. > > I agree.
