I imagine Porkington's worse, but I went to see Steve Steinman last year and it was excruciating. He took something that was meant to be operatic and impassioned and soaring and turned it into something kitsch, cheap, and toe-curling. "Got an [x]piece orchestra coming out wiv me next year. I'm fuckin' shittin' meself, I tell ye". Maybe I was expecting too much of a tribute act. It was very much a parody, and not a particularly flattering one. I think I may have missed the point, but I won't be going again! > In my opinion this guys sounds pretty awesome and a great > way to get Jim's music out there and keep it circulating. > Screw the Loaf and his own personal pocket/ego. > From what he is saying with regards to an orchestral > backing it's like the way Jim's music should have been > performed in the first place. > I wish I had the opportunity to see one of his shows. > I just hope Jim is seeing some royalty benefit or the like > from them. > > > The Loaf is apparently mad at Steve for going on tour > > right before him.
