I think it's more likely that Tanz will become a film, but it will be in German with English subtitles.

Roman Polanski, as you know, is primarily a film director. Has he directed stage other than Tanz? One would think that he would want to add Tanz to his impressive list of films.

I think it will be in German because it has had it's greatest success in Germany.

Of course they will have to use Jim's music.

DOTV, on the other hand, was a disaster. Jim hates it. He blames people like his manager David Sonnenburg (see Jim's blog) and Michael Crawford for getting too involved in the creative process. According to Jim, they ruined it.

Also, it didn't have a director who is bankable in the film world. Unlike Tanz.

Unless a completely new version of DOTV is produced in the West End, which allows Jim to be creative without dozens of people interfearing, then I doubt that there will ever be a DOTV film.

I have heard rumours that it might be coming to the West End after BOOH The Musical and that Roman Polanski will direct via video link (because he will be arrested if he enters Britain).
