I think any similarities between Bat (the album) and Springsteen are purely down the E Street Band members on the album. Roy Bittan, for example, has such a distinctive keyboard sound - check out Lou Reeds "Finish Line", a song that is far removed from Jim (or Bruce), but there's no mistaking Roy's percussive piano when it kicks in half way through.

As far as the songs go, I could only really imagine Springsten doing a passable job of Took the Words. That's his kind of song in many ways. The rest aren't really Sprinsteen's style at all.
