Agreed. Fact is, the people who didn't vote for him are unhappy, will continue to be unhappy, and have no inclination to give the guy a fair chance. He was put into the White House in the middle of an economic crisis that has literally never been seen before: the economy as it is now is a very different beast than it was in the Great Depression, much larger, much more complicated, many more moving parts and different colored wires connected to widgets and levers scattered across the globe. NO ONE knows for sure how to fix this machine: I firmly believe that. Its a matter of educated guesswork right now.

If Obama can't do it, his detractors will say, "See, should have voted for McCain." But in truth, there's no way to know if McCain would have had the right answer, either.

I did not vote for GW Bush, and I was pretty annoyed by the way the election of 2000 went down, but two months later, I was over it and giving Bush the benefit of the doubt. I don't think Obama will ever get that from pissed of Republicans.
