I think 99% of re-mixers never meet the artist, they're just sent the multi-tracks (via e-mail nowadays) and maybe a 'brief' of what the artist wants.

I imagine with Steinman, the record label probably said 'make it epic', and left him to get on with it.

Too true, although their last two albums (Beautiful World & The Circus) are very good.

Take That have one more album to deliver on their current contract, and it would be cool if Jim penned something for it?

If not, getting them on the Bat concept CD would be a good move (for UK & Europe sales).
