It's a shame that Celine Dion hasn't covered more Jim songs.

But this is a lady who has two of the top twenty albums of all time. Jim could make a lot of money and have the thrill of another hit. The task of launching Dream Engine is almost impossible. But with Celine it would be much easier to get that elusive hit in this day and age, when things are so much more difficult.

You say about try telling Rob to have more faith but I think that Jim and Steve Rinkoff did try quite hard for him. He's doing well on Broadway and TDE experience may have helped him, even if the band didn't become famous.

Also, it's possible that TDE will be relaunched to tie in with the touring version of Bat The Musical. Nobody told me that but I am guessing that it might be a possibility.

If things were going terribly or Jim had abandoned the show, then there is no way that JD would post and say that everything is going well.

Also, wasn't TDE a Steve Rinkoff project? Shouldn't it have been him that told you of the project's demise?
And you never know, he might still be hoping for it to come to life. Maybe it has not actually been abandoned.
It's still got a cool looking logo in the lobby of this website.

I think that they can even use the BOOH songs as long as it's a concert and not a show.

I heard great things about the Joe's Pub concert.

TDE sounds a bit like it might be a show (from the show point of view the casting of Rob is good) but surely it is part show and part rock/pop band.

I wonder if the lead singer of TDE (Rob) is possibly too old to become a pop star. He gets a lot of Broadway work but that's different (and more power to him - I think he is very talented - his recording of WPOMBHTM is proof of that).

I am not sure but I think that Jim is more involved with Bat The Musical than he was with TDE.

TDE only required recording songs and and playing concerts. Bat The Musical is a show that taxes all of Jim's strength and creative powers.

It's rare enough to have the same person doing music and lyrics for a show. But if you add book as well, that's very unusual. It has probably happened before but I can't think of another example at the moment.

Oh, maybe Rocky Horror Show. And that was a big hit. It's latest arena tour is selling out all over Europe.
