Actually, it is pretty cool to have a six year old reading Jim's magical words. If he doesn't get the not finding a Cadillac at the bottom of a Cracker Jacks box, then you should explain it to him. In my opinion, that might be Jim's greatest lyric line of all time. I got that because I used to live in Canada and they sold Cracker Jacks there. Looking for the toy at the bottom of the box was great fun. I think that the way Jim used that for his lyrics is proof of his genius. Do they sell Cracker Jacks in Australia or New Zealand (which one are you)? I wonder if UK Bat fans get that line. I can't remember seeing Cracker Jacks in the UK. I'm glad that your son has great taste as far as album cover art goes. When I first bought Bat, back in the late seventies, I was really pleased with the package. I already knew and loved about four songs but the cover made it even more of an exciting purchase. I miss the days of big vinyl albums. According to the BOOH sheet music book I recently purchased, the album cover concept was by Jim, with an artist helping him to realise his vision. I hope your son grows up to be an even bigger Steinmaniac than you are. | |
