I've never bought the view that 'Jim's advisors' (whoever they are) overide want Jim wants to do.

Steve Rinkoff co-produces all of Jim's projects, so I doubt he wouldn't want to be working with top name artists and hopefully recording/releasing hits?

I'm pretty sure Rink has a lot of high-quality recorded material with numerous singers, and for all we know may be pulling his hair out wanting them released, and Jim says no?

Barry Keating's from the theatre world and will probably have some type of credit/involvement on the Bat musical, so I imagine he's all for that getting off the ground?

David Sonnenberg possibly still manages in some capacity and therefore would probably be on a percentage for any successful project, so he would not want to stall/delay things?

I would suggest Jim (no-one else) has just decided to put all his efforts into the Bat musical, and any other projects will wait until after?
