No, but Meat mentioned in an interview once that Melissa Etheridge and (I think) Cher were being considered.

Well Jim was managing Lorraine at the time, and I would suggest got her involved in Bat 2 as he had found no other work for her, at the time?
Knowing (a litle bit) on how Jim works/produces I would suggest he got lots of females (including Elaine Caswell) to sing the part, and obviously decided that Lorraine's vocal was the best (for the song).
