His songs are not memorable. As a song writer he is the opposite of Jim. But he is a wonderful musician and anyone who goes to his concert will get their moneys worth. I don't know if he can be comapared to the great jazz players, when they improvise and don't do a memorable song. Some of those jazz men are wonderful but they can't necessarily write songs and they don't always play songs. Todd is rock but the attitude is the same. He is a fantastic guitar player. The only time I've read a bad Todd review was when he wrote the songs for an off Broadway production of a Joe Orton play that was originally meant for the Beatles. But that's because he was dealing with short, structured songs, which has never been his thing. If you think about it, his inability to do normal three minute commercial songs made him the perfect person to discover Jim and Meat. One record executive tried to tell Jim how to write songs after listening to several tracks from BOOH. Todd got the BOOH songs first time he heard them.
