His album will be a major release and probably sell tons, and therefore I wouldn't describe it as 'any old album'. Plus I think he's the right artist for a Steinman tie-up, with his great vocals & theatrical/rock/gothic type image. Getting it on Lambert's album (and released as a single) will probably give it more of a chance to be a hit than leaving it for a musical concept CD? Also possible great promo for the Bat musical as you could sticker/credit the single/album packaging with 'from Jim Steinman's Bat Out Of Hell musical'. Everything else is Recycling. Not the recycling argument again? LOL. I think this argument is null & void as Jim has always recycled. Total Eclipse is recycled in parts from Dream Engine but, to me, it doesn't make it anything less than a great song (likewise Making Love from TCM & Graveyard Shift from BFG etc etc). I can't really name a song that Jim has recycled and I've been disappointed with the new (and mostly improved) version. There's only so many chord progressions and melodies one person can come up with, but as long as the (new) lyrics and arrangements are really strong, I'm really happy. > That's why he wouldn't let Meat touch it... it's sort of > his Last Hope.
