I don't know how inductees are selected, but if it's for quality & longevity, Jim is well overdue.
Not only has he worked successfully in various genres (pop, rock & theatre) for over 30 years, he has also written one of the most recognisable songs ever (Total Eclipse), and one of the biggest selling albums ever (Bat 1), and that would be enough for me.
Maybe if the Bat musical ever makes it to Broadway he might get inducted that year?
