Just discovered a (new) Eric Troyer website and he has promised some studio/session stories (which may hopefully include some Steinman/Meat/Todd anecdotes).
Also check out the ELO 2 demo clip of 'For The Love Of A Women', which sounds great.
Also love the 9' Steinway in his studio (top of the range right there).
