Totally agree about the BVs - Todd's finest hour in the vocal arrangement department, especially when polishing the turd that is Bonnie's version of Band of Gold.

I know what you mean about 80s production but, in my opinion, Secret Dreams is one of the worst examples of the art form. Dirty Job is saved by the vocals and a lighter hand on the synths (I don’t count the magnificent organ as a synth - it's just too authentic for that), but Rebel suffers a bit from a bland backing track (the solo is ace though), and Ravishing gets the worst treatment of the lot imo.

I just want to play that song SO LOUD, and no matter how high I turn it up it never rocks like it should do. That chorus should be massive, the guitar should drive the song with the piano picking out those wonderful shapes over it, but it just doesn't happen for me. It could be massive with the right treatment (and I was serious about the Abba thing!).
