Please forgive my ignorance but are you talking about the new ALW Phantom (which he has been working on for years)? Mr. Smeg talks about another chap writing Phantom of the Paradise. Apparently ALW was going to buy the rights to another Phantom show (which uses old music) for Sarah Brightman. It was Jim (who was stationed in London at the time) who talked him into writing a new Phantom for Sarah and Jim's feelings were hurt when ALW didn't invite him to do the lyrics. I wonder if ALW ever thought of working with Jim on the Phantom sequel. It might be more suitable than WDTW for him. | |
