Regardless of what people think of Meat, he's pretty much been doing Bat as an arena event for the last 15 years or so. It may not have the storyline or the special guests, but it's theatrical and spectacular.

I'm not convinced that another arena version is necessary - the Meat fans will want to see Meat, and the theatre fans in the main don't attend outdoor rock events. A musical can appeal to both, because it's different. Most Bat fans don't know about Jim's musicals, so this will be something new and exciting to do with the name, and could attract people from both camps.

If it's done properly, it could be amazing. An arena show is just an arena show at the end of the day - no matter how many flashy gimmicks you throw at it.
