| I would like to apologise to the board for bringing up an old post but I have been away for three weeks and I have just noticed a Smeghead post from ages ago and I need to reply to it. I would also like to apologise for failing to sign a peace treaty with old Smeg. It seems that the Smeg/Egg Wars will continue for a very long time. Make you feel superior does it? You daft cunt." In my opinion, Mr. Smeg is using the word "private" too liberally. Which is especially naughty of him since he is a man of letters. He cannot claim ignorance in this case. I know that Jim does not think I am a daft cunt because of kind things he has said to me. As he has said kind things to many people. And I don't think he regards anyone as a daft cunt. If Smeg had published my complete reply, readers would have heard me say that even though Jim does not think I am a daft cunt, I admit to actually being one. Like when I respond to Pudding's troll postings. So I could not possibly "feel superior". If I know that I am indeed a daft cunt. I never post about Jim's "private" feelings or thoughts. The most "private" comment I have heard about Jim came from Todd during the Classic Albums documentary, when he said: "If you know Steinman, you will know he has never experienced any of the things he writes about." That is talking about Jim's "private" world and since Smeg has probably also seen that documentary, he has heard the same "about as private as you can get" information that I have heard. He singles me out because he is a naughty rascal. Perhaps he is angered by the positive comments that I have received from posters like Ryan, Klasien and Lord Rahl(not to mention wonderful emails from Susan Rothman). At least Mr. Smeg is not dumb. Conas thinks that I am a complete wacko for saying that my mother is producing Bat The Musical with Jim (this is not something I wanted to tell the board but Susan Rothman outed me on her blog - so I might as well say about it - as long as I don't talk about it). Unlike the lovely Conas, Smeg, believes me. He recently posted: "but I can't call for his banning, since apparently he was telling the truth". He would have known this some time ago if he had just listened to Ryan. There is no other way that I could have known about Ryan seeking permission to go ahead with his wonderfully concieved Frankenstein project (just perfect for What Part Of My Body Hurts The Most). I am glad that Mr. Smeg does not want me banned (although disappointed that he refuses to sign a peace treaty). I would not want him to be banned either. My inner daft cunt would miss him. I also apologise to the board for this overly long and boring post. I can remember Bright Eyes coming under fire when she left long posts. But this board is supposed to be an uncensored mirror of people who have been touched by Jim's music and lyrics. This is bound to lead to many different people with different ideas of what a post should be, posting all sorts of different things. The one thing that Mr. Egg and Mr. Smeg have in common is that they have both been touched. If only the Smeg/Egg Wars could end. The following post is an example of filling the board up with garbage from someone who complains about the board being filled up with garbage (although it is in keeping with the uncensored mirror of people who have been touched theory). Smeg wrote: "I just had a hard time believing he was someone Jim would solicit opinions from on the Bat Musical as opposed to people with intelligence who actually could have offered helpful advice. But I guess the fact that his mommy hold's Jim's nuts in a vice gives him some clout." I can assure Mr. Smeg that my mother does not hold Jim's nuts in any kind of vice. Talk about posting "private" information. | |
