| To be fair, I was pretty shocked when I found out the details of the case. I think with Polanski being such a respected film maker over the years, the details kinda got blurred and people hear the words statutory rape and assume that it was some kind of misunderstanding or, at worst, a lapse of judgement. Also, whilst I have no sympathy for the man himself, I do stil admire his work, and not just Tanz - Chinatown is one of my favourite films. He's a very talented, but deeply flawed, individual. Glad it didn't come over like I was hectoring you. I like being able to discuss things on here without it all getting out of hand.
