I think I probably listen to Jim's music less than most people on here, but what I love about it is returning to a song you think you know, but haven't heard for a long while, and almost discovering it for new. I played some songs of Faster Than the Speed of Night the other evening after not listening to anything off that album for probably a couple of years. The title track just sounded awesome - I thought I knew it, but listening to it after such a long gap I noticed so much stuff that I hadn't really paid attention to before. It was almost like hearing it for the first time all over again. I also forgot how much I love Bonnie & Jim's version of Have You Ever Seen the Rain. Fantastic stuff - think I'll give it another blast tonight (and then put it away for a year or so again!). | |
