And yet AC/DC were unknown Australians and according to the list on the first page of this website, they have the second best selling album of all time. Also, Robert Stigwood is possibly the greatest manager/producer of all time and he started out down under when he was very poor. Anyway, I am certain that you are going to produce something. Possibly both Frankenstein and Don Claude. You need to keep lobbying and never give up. You shouldn't worry about Frankenstein being competition for BOOH. If Tanz (just for example) is included in the ENO schedule, it will be another feather in Jim's cap. It won't hurt BOOH ticket sales. And if your production is in Australia, then it is even less likely to be any kind of threat. I don't think you could use the same songs for obvious legal reasons but with a running time limit of three hours (including intermission), there are bound to be lots of songs available for Frankenstein (though you would probably have to wait to find out which ones). I would bet money that WPOMBHTM won't make it into BOOH. I think the idea of mixing Jim's creativity with the Frankenstein concept is brilliant. Its like Mel Brooks meets the Rocky Horror Show. What is Don Claude about? Did you write the music and lyrics for it? Good luck with that show too. | |
