The Waltz is fine and you have to remember the context.
'Till I Hear You Sing' is the first song from the Phantom, so the title makes sense.
The melody (and orchestration) is typical ALW, but one of his better efforts (I think), and the vocal is great.
The lyrics are pretty poor though, and there is just one little section that I like...'years come & years go, time runs dry, still I ache down to the core'.
As a stand alone song they are awful, and in the context of the show, not much better. Obviously ALW likes 'em but then he's never been a lyricist.
