Save on foods is a grocery store up here in canada. I dunno, it doesn't seem all that weird to me. The city of Victoria needed an arena, save-on-foods had some money, it was a relationship born in heaven. As for the memorial part, I think it has something to do with veterans. Canada seems to have some sort fascination with "veterans" in which we feel the need to bring them up at every occasion. If we can't think of a legitimate name for something, we just call it a veterans memorial and leave it at that.

As for the show last night, which I attended wearing a jim Steinman shirt, I thought it was pretty good. It was more or less what I expected and I was just glad to be there. He did mainly Steinsongs anyways and Meat Loaf doesn't come to this neck of the woods very often. I think what I'm saying is that despite my always slightly resenting meat loaf, going to his show was still absolutely amazing and i had a terrific time. Two years ago, I never would have expected to hear Bad for Good performed live by ANYONE. There was no way that I was going to show up and sulk because Jim doesn't always get the credit he deserves. Admittedly, the crowd was a tad docile (except for a few enthusiasts), but I couldn't expect them to live up to my expectations of how I think people should act a meat Loaf concert. At one point some guy from the audience did jump on the stage during IACBTMN which I only mention because it was wicked to see Kasim like grab him by the scruff of the neck and swing him off stage with one hand while still playing the bass or whatever with the other hand.
