To me it looked like the Swiss authorities were trying to get closer to America when Polanski was arrested. Weeks before the arrest, they agreed to give the American government access to Swiss bank account records, something that used to be unthinkable.

I would be really surprised if they didn't send him back to America.

However, Polanski has proof that original trial judge was a completely corrupt publicity seeker and I think Polanski will be able to use that if he ends up in an American court again.

Also, the time he has already spent in a Swiss jail, as well as the time spent under house arrest, will surley be deducted from any jail time he is given by the American courts.
