Thank goodness you are a voice of reason. Goons and savage dogs are tiny in comparison to what I have been called on this board. I posted about their possible return because I worry that the insults will damage the board again. As you have said (and I have had this confirmed) Ryan (who is a really great bloke) has often felt unable to post in the atmosphere that those two chaps create. And he is not the only one. Shallah posted to Pudding (12/02/07): "I am sick to death of messageboard bullies. Well, now that you have establised to me that you are the board bully, may I first say that you really are a tosser." Since JD did not warn Shallah for saying that, I must presume that her remark was sound. And she is just one example. When Pudding was banned, I did not post any insult about him on the board. Yet JD herself posted that what he did (in publishing my address) was "creepy". I would rather be a "goon" or a "dog" than "creepy". JD also said that Pudding and Smeghead were malicious. I didn't mention them. When Pudding made the awful joke about Elva having abortions, I did not reply. It was JD who told him that he had crossed a line (and yet the word "goon" got me the same warning that he got). Markus thinks that it is "nasty" of me to mention Dave's place but I haven't said anything for weeks despite the fact that a few like Pudding have been leaving VERY hateful messages about me and my family. If they were doing that to Markus, I would understand why he was posting about the forum where this was occuring. Conas, you are exactly right when you say that nasty personal remarks have "have been the route cause of every row on this board." It has been such a relief to be able to post without being called a retard or a daft cunt. But it will all start up again. I'm sure of it. And we'll miss out on great posts from posters like Ryan (he is not the only one). | |
