Really? I was only ever aware of Jim having problems with Meat's vocals around the time of "Bad for Good" and "Dead Ringer". Listen to "Dead Ringer" and Meat sounds dodgy. The sad thing is, he sounds great on "Midnight at the Lost and Found" but the songs are terrible and some of them sound like they were written out of his range.

Remember when "Back Into Hell" was starting to come together, Meat’s vocals probably sounded better than they ever did. Just listen to the bootlegs from the "Lost Boys and Golden Girls" tour. He sounds awesome, better than he does on "Back Into Hell", IMO. In my opinion, and I absolutely acknowledge that it is my opinion, there was nothing wrong with Meat's voice in the studio just that Jim wanted his songs to sound a particular way.

From the impression that I get, the experience making "Bat 2" had a lot to do with why Meat apparently wasn’t excited about working in the studio with Jim on "Bat 3".
