| The reason is pretty simple to me. Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman combined to produce the best music ever created. Most of us, myself included, became fans of both because of this. Some, it took a while to realize that Steinman is the genius behind the music. A lot of "laymen" still don't know it. When you mention a great song, they will know Meat Loaf but have no idea who Jim Steinman is, until we tell them. Their fight was, in a large sense for us like a divorce. We are the children, and we resent that there is no more music coming from these virtual parents. Some side with "daddy" and some side with "mommy" and some remain neutral, loving each, but wishing they'd get back together. That's where I fall. For some of the more rabid Steinfans, Meat is the ex, and therefore the enemy. .The hatred towards > Meatloaf has always puzzled me ...People hate him ...''It > was Jim's record, he was just the vocalist, he did this, > he didn't do that, blah blah'' ...
