| You're right (Btw, I spoke to the doctor this morning and there may be a possibility you'll be able to have my children after all, LOL.) Jim is a creator of a vision much like Walt Disney, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Jim Henson and so on... I think if the promotion says "Jim Steinman's Bat out of Hell" then people are finally going to know that this is Jim's vision and not just Meat Loaf singing a bunch of songs by some guy who managed to get his name printed on the bottom of the front cover. When I think "Snow White", "Pinocchio" and "Fantasia", I think Disney. When I think "Oklahoma!", "Carousel", "South Pacific", "The King and I" and "The Sound of Music", I think Rodgers & Hammerstein. And then I think Yul Brynner or Julie Andrews. When I think "Joseph", "Jesus Christ Superstar", "Evita", "Cats", "Phantom" and "Sunset Boulevard", I think Andrew Lloyd Webber. When I think "The Dark Crystal" and "Labyrinth", I think Jim Henson etc etc. Notice I'm not comparing Jim to songwriters like Lieber & Stoller who I don't think ever had a particular vision, just that they wrote songs for Elvis. Again, I can see Jim as a frustrated Jim Henson or George Lucas, working on this fantastic vision except Jabba the Hut keeps getting all the attention. I don't know how Jim feels about this though. I guess I would just be thankful that people know my souls let alone my name. Still... When people listen to Sgt. Pepper's they associate it with Lennon & McCartney as songwriters as much as they do with the Beatles performing it, but "Bat out of Hell", it's always about Meat Loaf who won't even print Jim's name on his Bat merchandise anymore, pfft.
