Hardly fair is it? > People always say that Bruce can't sing. (lol) I never said that Meat's performance was awful or lacking in energy; I've seen Meat live a few times, and always thought it was a great show. I also think Meat puts 100% effort into his shows, but his voice is sadly not what it once was- it's not just his age. It's like a guitar with a couple of broken strings-no matter how good a guitarist you are, you can only do so much with it. And I wouldn't call you a Loafer any more than I'd want to be called a Bruce Kool-Aid drinker. :0) I admittedly didn't see the Glasto show, so I guess I'll take your word if you say that Bruce was flat. I did, however, see 6 shows in the States, and heard boots of numerous others. He sounded better some times than others, obviously, but on the whole, I still think Bruce has a stronger voice than Meat at this point. (OK, pass the Kool-Aid. lol) As an example, here's the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Anniversary show from last October with Billy Joel (Two 60-year-old guys). No way can Meat belt like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZq5hy2RsvM (Sorry, I don't know how to make the links clickable) And here's Bruce alone last September- "flat as fuck"? I think not: | |
