I thought the Dutch entry was really good and different. Though other countries indeed have good entries this year so I don't think The Netherlands really need to hang their head in shame at all.
The by default Saturday night event participation of Spain, France, Germany and the UK under the qualifying conditions seems rather idiotic to me and I'm surprised that the rest of "Europe", whatever that is under Eurovision terms have agreed with this.
