Indeed, why would you use IE at all anymore? I used to be mostly PC based and got on relatively ok with IE7. IE8 was then going to be better and iron out bugs. Did it hell, IE8 crashed on me pretty much every day for the first few months I was using it. Switched to Chrome last year which I think is a little better than Firefox and not as heavy. Chrome works pretty well on a Mac too luckily, though it's not as pretty.
