Scaramouche, was it you who mentioned he had the "Dead Ringer" sheet music? So do I (I totally forgot how I got ahold of it but its in my music files :S)
Someone actually wrote to me through both my Steinman site and my own asking about a "Dead Ringer" musical. The plot would follow the lead-up to a passionate murder after a guy is betrayed by his fiance. Very interesting... with "Everything Is Permitted" as the aftermath to the murder. I dare even suggest that Jim mentioned something like this around "Dead Ringer" time as well???
I don't know if he'd ever get the rights to do that, but I mentioned it to JD, but all this piano talking makes me hungry for a new idea about recording a TRIBUTE album to DEAD RINGER where the songs are newly updated and arranged in a way that they'd be able to stand better in 30 times. It would be a cool thing to do, although I imagine if it's anything big like "Merciless Night" it'd be much harder to put together re: all the submissions. But I'd imagine your track "More Nocturnal Pleasures" which, incidentally, is one of the greatest pieces of music I've ever heard in my life (I have a list LOL) would be a sort of bonus track
