I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Tarantino yet. I always thought his twisted sense of humour and weird thinking had a lot of Steinman qualities to it.
Has he actually ever used any of the Stein-tunes in his movies? Not that I recall...
I'm also quite into stupid over the top horror movies (Deep Blue Sea, Snakes on a Plane, the new Piranha movie). guess it's a guilty pleasure lol
@ Markus re: Jaunet - I really like the Alien sequel he did, though objectively it's probably the weakest of the series...
