It would be impossible. George Lucas might try to do that, but then he has severely under-estimated his audience for the next 300 years at least. Oh, those originals will survive. You can almost be sure of that. Silly George Lucas. > > > There's a similar issue at the moment with Andrew Lloyd > > Webber who wants to compose new songs for "The Wizard of > > Oz" stage production to augment the classic score by > > Harold Arlen and E.Y. ALW didn't create "The Wizard Of > Oz". Its just that you said the issue is "similar". That's right. Imagine if George Lucas tried to mess around with "Metropolis" though, filming his own scenes and adding them to the movie. This is sort of like what ALW is doing with "The Wizard of Oz". Now, if it was a remake, you could dismiss it much more easily. But ALW is not creating an entirely new score, just adding to one that is beloved by millions. > > > PS. Actually that's a really cool > comparison. Well done. And also, as much as I enjoyed the first Terminator film, I liked the second one much more. And it was the same as Bat. I enjoyed Bat 2 a lot more than I enjoyed the original. And in both cases, as I said, the 3rd installments were disappointments and some wouldn't even consider them canon, just possibilities... More like fan fiction... Except Demon Child's fan fiction was more unbearable than Jonathan Mostow's. | |
