No, it's not as good as "Rocky Horror" (although, as I think I said, I think some of the music is better). It's not a sequel, it's not a spin-off, it's an equal. It's the further adventures of Brad and Janet and yet it is almost conveyed as a standalone film. Does this make sense?
It's hard for me to actually articulate why it is that they call it an equal. But I did try.

Oh, yes, there are many wonderful songs in the score. "Denton, USA" springs to mind, and "Farley's Song", "Lullaby", "Little Black Dress", which is a little like "Time Warp" in a way, "Shock Treatment", "Look what I did to my id", "Breaking out" and "Anyhow, anyhow". The last one is my favourite song out of all the three films...Phantom, Rocky Horror and Shock Treatment.

As I said, the soundtrack itself is quite enjoyable.

Never. But a friend of mine from high school has, and he still has my CD which he borrowed years ago. I went out and got the 25th anniversary edition of the soundtrack, a CD which has never really received the greatest of reviews. They mix a lot of dialogue in with the songs which is annoying, because it's hard to skip to the songs themselves, and the tracks that had never been released before on the earlier CD sounded like bad rips from the movie itself.

Hopefully there will be something better someday.
