You need the stereo cameras to provide the depth information. Screw you, early adopters :D :-). You need some way of making sure that each eye sees a slightly different view, to mimic what they see in real life. So if it's not coloured glasses, or blinkered glasses, or those "virtual reality" specs with their own displays, then you have to put a lenticular lens over the TV display. The problem with the latter is that it divides the viewing area into different zones some of which won't get a proper image. It also needs a fine lens and a very hi res display. Or maybe there's some technique I've not heard of :-) Dave | |
