Its not doing great for an ALW show. I heard that he's going to keep it open for two years (his minimum before he will close his own show). It has yeilded no hits, unusual for an ALW show. There's no "No Matter What". The main song he tried to turn into a single was recycled from "The Beautiful Game", almost note for note with different lyrics. People who have seen it say that its dull. They weren't saying that about "Cats" and "Phantom". I'm not sure about Broadway but I think it may just tour America like "WDTW" did.

Its quite possible that the new "Wizard Of Oz" will do better than "Love Never Dies", especially if Tim Rice is on board. People have been wanting them to get back together for ages (Tim will be very busy because he is producing the musical of "From Here To Eternity" in the West End - another iconic film that some will complain aboout).

I wasn't suggesting that everyone had to agree with Ryan. I just thought he made a very interesting point that we could debate. Its fine if you disagree.

BTW, were you one of the few people who thought "Cats" was a good idea "before" it opened? Of course people changed their minds "after" it opened.

It might turn out to be ALWs second smartest "WOO" move, with hiring Tim Rice being the smartest move. He's lucky that Londoners don't know much about the "DOTV" Broadway fiasco. I recently saw a one hour Michael Crawford documentary on the Bio channel and it talked about everything that he had done apart from "DOTV". They never even mentioned it.

Its interesting that Bill Kenwright is co-producing "WOO" with Andrew. I wonder how much input he'll have. He'll certainly get his hands on some lucrative touring rights, as he did with "WDTW".
