| Those lyrics indeed sound absolutely stupid now that you've pointed it out. A lot of HCTB is like that though. Nothing is subtle, everything is so in your face: "Next time you stab me in the back you better do it to my face" (wtf?) and "I can barely fit my dick in my pants". I hate those type of lyrics, it's really not very poetic at all and it is a million miles away from the stuff Steinman writes or even some of the other decent Meat Loaf song writer collaborations with Nikki Sixx/James Michael, Paul Jacobs / Sarah Durkee etc etc. Desmond Child gave Meat Loaf a lot more decent material too in my opinion. The whole story thing on HCTB is completely made up to disguise the randomness of these ideas I reckon. > > I think I'd rather hear Meat sing nursery rhymes than some > > of the stuff that's on HCTB. > > But yeah indeed working with a talented song writer such > > as Scaramouche would I think be much more fruitful and > > rewarding than throwing a bunch of weird rock guys (Justin > > Hawkins / that Nally guy / a bunch of unnecessary special > > guests /as many song writers as number of songs almost) > > together and see what happens, which is what I think they > > pretty much did with HCTB.\ > Agreed I like the vocals and musicians on "Living on the > Outside" but the lyrics are among the worst I've ever > heard any major recording artist use.
