Starmites is a musical written by Jim's friend Barry Keating. It's a really fun show with a comic book/sci-fi plot and catchy songs. It had a short Broadway run in 1989 and has had a life as a licensed production after that.

In 2000-01 Jim was a producer (correct?) on a few readings to the revised show. I saw one produced by AMAS and another a little later with even more changes and updating. During this time in NYC a bunch of us got to check out the performances and speak to Jim! It was SO COOL to talk to him especially in such an intimate environment. I remember I was accidentally rude to Barry Keating because I didn't know who he was at the time and only wanted to talk to Jim, haha!
