It's noticable in a few tracks only. It might be more noticable if you have a B&O sound system which I refuse to dish the cash out for.
If however I have the choice of putting up good sounding files and not reaching the bandwidth limit per month as opposed to putting up CD quality sound files and the whole service shuts down for the remaining month I know what to pick.
The files off the p2p networks are mostly 192k, which I consider acceptable and way better than say from a record or tape. Another idea could be that it wasn't the compression that was shit, but the songs themselves ;)
