I am guessing that he has a good chance of winning in his category, if you compare his bio to the bios of the other nominees. Although I notice that Dean Pitchford, who co-wrote "HOFAH", is nominated in the same category. The real insult will be if Jim doesn't win. Hmmm. Why isn't Jim in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame? Their Wikipedia page says: "Currently, groups or individuals are qualified for induction 25 years after the release of their first record. Nominees should have demonstrable influence and significance within the history of rock and roll. Four categories are recognized: Performers, Non-Performers, Early Influences, and Sidemen (as of 2000). However, fans have no input concerning who is nominated or elected to the hall." Well, its been over 25 years since "BOOH". As you know, its the third best selling album ever. Surely Jim and Meat could be inducted to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame at the same time. Maybe it would happen if the fans had "input". | |
