Todd Rundgren - Studio Wizard

Got this new book delivered yesterday.

Even though the Bat chapter is over 13 pages, there's really nothing new that you can't find in the articles on this site. Also no pics from the sessions, which I was half expecting, and nothing on B4G.

Couple of anecdotes...

Max Weinberg didn't play on 2/3 as Todd thought he couldn't play a slow tempo well enough.

Willie Wilcox recorded 'Revved Up' live with two unmatched drum sticks.

Jim thinks Todd caused the 1977 east coast black-out by blowing up a Star Trek video game at his Woodstock studio.

The 'motorcycle' solo was recorded with a Strat and a Marshall amp.

Todd (sarcastically) referred to Jim as 'King of Bombast' during the sessions.

Meat sat (quietly) in the corner for most of the tracking sessions.
